Performing a Master Reset on a GPSMAP 5xxx or 7xxx series chartplotter

Warning - Performing a master reset will erase all saved user data such as waypoints, routes and tracks that have been saved in the device.

If using a GPSMAP 5000 series chartplotter, please refer to the FAQ titled "How do I backup userdata (waypoints, routes, and tracks) from my GPSMAP 4000 or 5000 series device?".

If using a GPSMAP 7000 series chartplotter, please refer to the FAQ titled "How do I backup userdata (waypoints, routes, and tracks) from my GPSMAP 6000 or 7000 series chartplotter?".

To perform the master reset, please follow these instructions:

1. With the device powered ON, press and the Home button
2. Choose Configure
3. Choose System
4. Choose System Information
5. Choose Factory Settings
6. Choose Reset
7. Press the Yes button

The device will now restart. When it fully boots, the device will be set back to factory default settings.
