Disabling Hands-Free Calling without Disabling the Garmin Drive App

The Garmin Drive™ app is automatically enabled to play audio/phone calls through the Garmin device. This can be disabled if you prefer to keep your calls on your phone.

To Disable Hands-Free Calling:

1. On your Garmin device, touch Settings
2. Touch Wireless Networks
3. Select your phone name, then clear the Phone calls check box.

This will still allow a data connection from the phone to the device for the Garmin Drive app features.

IMPORTANT: If you have a Garmin DriveSmart 65, 66, 76, or 86 with Amazon Alexa GPS navigator and the Phone Calls checkbox is re-enabled after each reboot, you may wish to explore the options in this article instead: How To Change Where Bluetooth Phone Calls Are Received on a Garmin DriveSmart™ 65, 66, 76, or 86 with Amazon Alexa.
