Trouble Sending Error on inReach Mini 2
If a message or track point is unable to send for an extended period of time, the following error may appear on the inReach® Mini 2 satellite communicator:
Trouble Sending
Ensure that the device has a clear view of the sky.
This error usually only appears when a message or track point is being sent out. If you are not actively tracking or trying to send a message, it is possible that a previous message or track point has become stuck and the device is continually trying to send it out.
To resolve this, first ensure that the inReach Mini 2 is outside with a clear view of the sky and horizon away from any obstructions, and not in a pocket, backpack, etc. If the problem continues, try the following:
Check for software updates using the Garmin Express™ program on a computer to ensure the device software is up to date:
If this is your first time using a computer with your inReach Mini 2, download and install the Garmin Express program.
Connect your inReach Mini 2 to your computer with a USB cable.
Launch Garmin Express.
Select your inReach Mini 2.
NOTE: If this is your first time using the Garmin Express program, see - Adding and Removing Devices in Garmin Express.
Garmin Express will then display the available updates. Select Install or Install All.
Review and accept any prompts for Terms and Conditions or Important Notes.
Once complete, disconnect your inReach Mini 2 from the computer and follow any on-screen prompts on the inReach Mini 2 to complete the updates.
Once any updates are installed, take the inReach Mini 2 outside with a clear view of the sky and allow at least 20 minutes for the device to acquire a fresh satellite connection.
If the issue persists after completing the above steps, try fully resetting the inReach Mini 2, then pair and sync it with the Garmin Explore app:
