Call Tone Still Plays Even When Tones are Turned Off

When the call button is pressed on your Rino® outdoor handheld, the receiving Rino handheld will be alerted to your position and a call tone will sound through the Rino handheld's microphone. To disable the call tone from coming through, the Rino handheld's radio must be muted. Muting the radio will also mute voice communication; however, text communications and position updates will continue to be received, however no call tone will sound.

Additionally, a roger tone may also be heard when receiving a radio transmission. The roger tone will sound to signal the end of the transmission.

For steps on muting the radio of your Rino handheld or turning off the roger tone, refer to your manual. null
