PURPOSE:
GTX 35R/GTX 45R/GTX 3X5 Series Main Software Version 2.70 contains the following changes:
- The Transponder Control Format 1 ARINC 429 input format has been expanded to process altitude data provided by a Mode S control panel (MSCP) using labels 203 and 204
- A new configuration item, Mode S Control Panel Altitude Source, has been added to allow configuration of the resolution of pressure altitude data received from a MSCP
- Unit configuration has been expanded to support selective processing of Traffic Information Systems Broadcast (TIS-B) targets on GTX 345(D)(R) and GTX 45R units, when installed with TAS/TCAS
- A new configuration item, ADS-B Pass-Through Mode, has been added to enable/disable output of ADS-B In data to an ethernet port
- Air/ground determination logic has been improved to prioritize applicable sensor inputs (ground speed, air speed, radio altitude) which indicate airborne conditions over an on-ground remote air state, resulting in an airborne determination
- Added support for AHRS bench calibration using the GTX Install Tool
- Expanded the equipage data provided with ARINC or RS-232 to Garmin GTX 820, 825, 850, or 855 to include the state of the transponder
GTX 35R/GTX 45R/GTX 3X5 Series ADS-B Software Version 3.40 contains the following changes:
- Added support for ADS-B pass-through mode for flight data logging to be available with ethernet
- Updated AHRS algorithms to improve performance of internal AHRS
- Added support to disable processing of airborne TIS-B targets when TIS-B processing is configured for “Enabled for ground traffic only.” This is supported when the GTX is installed with a TAS/TCAS.
- Fixed an issue where Bluetooth disconnected when multiple devices were present
- Miscellaneous improvements to traffic correlation
