BlueChart® Mobile saving ActiveCaptain® Community information

The  BlueChart® Mobile application1 has integrated the ActiveCaptain® Community information. Once logged into ActiveCaptain Community, the information should be downloaded to BlueChart Mobile. This information is then stored on the iOS device for use when the iOS device no longer has an internet connection.

If the ActiveCaptain Community data is not saved, the ActiveCaptain Community login information was not saved in BlueChart Mobile due to the iOS device losing internet connection before the BlueChart Mobile is closed.

To properly save the ActiveCaptain Community data:

  1. With an active internet connection, open BlueChart Mobile
  2. Touch the settings button in the top left corner
  3. Touch ActiveCaptain
  4. Enter the Email Address and Password
  5. Touch Log In
  6. Wait for the ActiveCaptain data to download (this could take several minutes)
  7. Press the Home button on the iOS device
  8. Double Tap the Home button on the iOS device
  9. Press and Hold the BlueChart Mobile icon at the bottom of the screen
  10. Press the Red - (minus) sign on the top left corner of the BlueChart Mobile icon

At this point, the BlueChart Mobile application should have saved the ActiveCaptain Community data and it can then be viewed without an internet connection. The ActiveCaptain Community data will automatically update the next time there is an internet connection on the iOS device.
