Network Adapter for Tacx NEO 3M Smart Trainer

The Tacx® Network Adapter, sold separately, allows you to control the Tacx® NEO 3M smart trainer via Wi-Fi or wired ethernet connection. The network adapter plugs directly into the trainer below the power adapter. 

NOTE: The trainer must be connected to power while using the Network Adapter.

To Connect Via Wi-Fi

The Tacx Network Adapter uses the 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi band to communicate with your wireless router.

NOTE: Only one wi-fi network can be stored per trainer.

1. Plug the Network Adapter into the trainer.

2. Open the Tacx Training™ App.

3. Select Settings.

4. Select Device Manager.

5. Connect the trainer via Bluetooth first.

   • Press the button on the trainer to enter pairing mode.

6. Select Set Up NEO 3M.

7. Select Set Up Wi-Fi Network.

8. Select the network you want to connect to.

9. Enter network password.

10. Select Done.

11. When you return to the previous page, the trainer will show connected via Bluetooth still; Disconnect from Bluetooth here. 

    1. Select the BLE version.

    2. Select Disconnect. 

12. The NEO 3M will now show as two pairing options in the app:

    • Via BLE

    • Via Wi-Fi

To Connect Via Ethernet 

1. Plug the Network Adapter into the trainer.

2. Plug your ethernet cable directly into the Network Adapter.

3. Open the Tacx Training™ App.

4. Select Settings.

5. Select Device Manager.

6. Confirm the trainer is connected via ethernet.

   NOTE: Below is an example of a trainer that has been paired via wi-fi before, but is paired via ethernet currently:
