Using the Morning Report Feature on My Garmin Watch

The Morning Report feature provides a daily summary along with helpful information each morning. This customizable report is pushed to the watch one hour before your set wake-up time allowing you to scroll through information that can vary depending on the model of watch that you have. Available options may include:

  • A Daily Greeting

  • Body Battery

  • Calendar

  • Recovery Advisor

  • Step Goal

  • Step Streak

  • Suggested Workout

  • Upcoming Race Day information

  • Weather

  • Women's Health Tracking (if enabled)

Once dismissed, the morning report cannot be opened again that day. 

Why Am I Seeing Dashes?

When there is data missing, such as the weather data, you will see dashes instead of numerical values. 

Customize the Morning Report Feature

Using the watch settings you can enable or disable the morning report and customize which features you see each morning. For some devices, the background colors for your morning report screen may vary depending on:

  • Time of day

  • Current weather outside

  • Viewing morning report before or after sunrise

  • Holidays

To customize the Morning Report select your model below for instructions.

NOTE: Morning Report was rolled out to some watch models via a software update so make sure your watch is on the latest software version. For help see null.

Approach® S50 Watch

  1. Press and hold the top button.

  2. Select Settings.

  3. Select Notifications & Alerts. 

  4. Select Morning Report.

  5. Customize the options below.

    • Show Report: Touch to toggle morning report Off or On.

    • Edit Report: Touch to customize the order and type of data that appears in your morning report.

    • Your Name: Enter the name you would like to show in your morning report.

Approach® S70 Watch

  1. Press ApproachMenuButton.

  2. Select Settings.

  3. Select Notifications & Alerts. 

  4. Select Morning Report.

  5. Customize the options below.

    • Show Report: Touch to toggle morning report Off or On.

    • Edit Report: Touch to customize the order and type of data that appears in your morning report.

NOTE: If you do not see the Morning Report option on your device, make sure your software is up to date using Garmin Express™ application.

  1. Wake the watch.

  2. Press Round button on Lily Series to access the menu.

  3. Select Settings.

  4. Select Morning Report.

  5. Toggle Show Report On or Off.

  6. Select Options to customize what you see for your Morning Report.

To customize the display name you will need to go through Garmin Connect™ > Select your device > Select System > Customize the Display Name > Sync your device to update changes.

Lily® 2 | Lily® 2 Classic Watches

  1. Wake the watch.

  2. Press Round button on Lily Series to access the menu.

  3. Select Settings.

  4. Select Alerts.

  5. Select Morning Report.

  6. Toggle Status On or Off.

  7. Select Options to customize what you see for your Morning Report.

To customize the display name you will need to go through the Garmin Connect™ app > Select your device > Select User Profile > Customize the Display Name > Sync your device to update changes.

Lily® 2 Active Watch

  1. Hold the bottom right button to access the menu.

  2. Select Settings.

  3. Select Notifications & Alerts.

  4. Select Morning Report.

  5. Select Status to turn the morning report on or off.

  6. Select Options.

  7. Select an option to include or exclude it from your morning report.

  1. Press Oval button on vivosmart 5to wake the screen.

  2. Select gear icon to bring up watch settings.

  3. Select Morning Report.

  4. Toggle Status on or off.

  5. Select Options to customize what you see for your morning report.

To customize the display name you will need to go through Garmin Connect™ > Select your device > Select System > Customize the Display Name > Sync your device to update changes.
