Instructions to Sync Deezer Content to an Approach S50 Watch

This article will provide instructions use the Deezer Connect IQ™ app on an Approach® S50 watch.

Requirements

The following are requirements to use the Deezer app with your watch:

The watch must be paired to your smartphone through the Garmin Connect™ app.
The watch must be set up to connect to a secure Wi-Fi® network. For help, see - Adding Wi-Fi Networks to Compatible Watches.
A Deezer Premium subscriptions is required. For help, see Deezer's website.

I Meet the Requirements. What Do I Do Next?

The three steps listed below need to be completed when first setting up the Deezer app with your watch. Once complete, you will only need to follow the third step when you want to load additional content to your watch. Select each section to expand and view instructions on completing each step.

Step 1: Download and Install the Deezer Connect IQ App

Select the following link to download the app: Deezer Connect IQ App.
Select .
Sign into your Garmin account if prompted.
Select your watch to download the app.
Acknowledge any app permission requests.

The Deezer app will be installed onto your watch. You are ready to move to Step 2.

Step 2: Set up the Deezer Connect IQ App

Press and hold the Top button.
Select Settings.
Select Music.
Select Music Providers.
Select Deezer.
The watch will display the message, Open Garmin Connect on Phone.
Select the checkmark to continue.
1. Your smartphone will ask you to sign in.
2. Acknowledge the message on the phone which will take you to a Deezer sign in. Depending on whether you have an account, the login process will be as follows:
  - Existing Deezer users: Enter your login details and select login. From here, skip to Step 3.
  - New to Deezer: Select Register here, and follow the steps to create your account.
3. If prompted, enter credit card details to complete the process.

You are ready to move to Step 3.

Step 3: Selecting and Syncing Content to the Watch

From your Deezer account, create playlists or you can download existing playlists. For more information, see Make playlists or edit an existing Deezer playlist on Deezer Support.

Press and hold the Top button.
Select Settings.
Select Music.
Select Music Providers.
Select Deezer.
Select My Playlists.
Select a playlist.
Select Done.
Press the Back button and select yes to start the music sync.

At this point, the watch will attempt to connect to your Wi-Fi network. We recommend plugging the watch into an outlet near the Wi-Fi router for the best results.
