Importing Video Files for Use with the Garmin Dash Cam Player

Garmin Dash Cam Player will allow you to view, edit, and delete videos & pictures captured by Garmin Dash Cam devices. Video files can only be imported in to the Garmin Dash Cam Player when the device is connected to the computer or the microSD card is inserted into a card reader on the computer.

To import video files:

1. Click File
2. Click Import Files
3. Click Yes to import those video files

Those files will now be available for use in the Garmin Dash Cam Player program. The files will be deleted from the unit or microSD card once the files have been imported successfully.   There is a default location on the computer that the video files are saved to when they are imported.

To change the location that the imported files are saved to on the computer:

1. Click Settings
2. Click Change Path of Saved Videos
3. Click Change
4. Select the desired location
5. Click OK

Any files imported after those changes have been made will save that selected location. You can save a video file to a specific location on the computer without changing the default location by selecting File and then Save As.
