Sending a Saved Course from Garmin Connect to a Garmin Device
Courses saved in Garmin Connect™ can be sent to Garmin devices that have the course feature. This includes many Edge® cycling computers as well as some multisport watches. To verify if your device supports courses, refer to What Garmin Devices Are Compatible With Courses?.
Sending a Course Using the Garmin Connect App
Follow the steps below to send a course from the Garmin Connect app on your phone to a compatible Garmin fitness device.
The course will be sent to the device during the next sync with the app.
Sending a Course Using Garmin Connect Web
From a web browser, sign in to your Garmin Connect account.
Select Training & Planning in the expanded navigation bar on the left.
Select Courses.
Select the course that you want to send.
Select Send to Device in the bottom left corner.
Select the device you want to send the course to.
Select Send to Device.
Sync the device using Garmin Express™ or the Garmin Connect app on your phone.
Shortcut to Sending a Saved Course to Your Device
You can quickly send a course to your device through a shortcut in the web tool. This comes in handy if you need to send multiple courses to your device.
From your course list locate the course you'd like to send.
Select Send to Device.
From the pop up box on the screen choose your device if necessary then select Send to Device.
Sync the device using Garmin Express or the Garmin Connect app on your phone.

Watches
From the watch, select the activity profile the course was created for.
Select Settings or scroll down.
Select Navigation.
Select Courses or Saved.
Edge Cycling Computers
Select Navigation in the menu or glances.
Select Courses.
I Do Not See the Course on My Device
These are things that could cause your device not to accept the course:
When naming courses, keep in mind that most devices have a limit where they only look at the first 15 characters in the name of a course. If there are multiple courses where the first 15 characters are the same, the device will think they are the same course. To work around this limitation, make sure the names vary within the first 15 characters.
Most compatible Garmin devices have a limit of 100 courses. If you are near this limit, or have many long courses, try deleting any you no longer need. Refer to your owner's manual for steps to delete courses from your device.
