Downloading Stored Heart Rate Data to My Garmin Watch

The Garmin HRM-Fit™ , HRM-Pro™ , HRM -Pro™ Plus, HRM-Swim™ and HRM-Tri™ monitors have the ability to store heart rate data and transmit the data to a compatible Garmin watch. These monitors allow the recording of heart rate data while swimming. The data is then sent to the watch once the activity is completed.

I am Having an Issue With Downloading Stored Heart Rate Data to My Watch

There could be a number of reasons why data stored in a strap will not download to a watch. Review the following if you are having an issue.

  • Make sure the activity timer on the watch is running during the entire length of the activity. Heart rate data can only be downloaded if there is an activity that the heart rate data can be associated with.

  • The heart monitor must be worn and connected with the watch while attempting to download heart rate data. The strap will need to be within one meter of the watch, and both the strap and the watch will need to be out of the water.

  • If the heart rate data did not send to the watch once the activity was completed, try downloading the stored heart rate data again. For more information and instructions for downloading the stored heart rate see Related below.
