Card Trade-in Service

If you own old Garmin BlueChart micro/SD cards or marine cartography for competitor brands on micro/SD cards, you can trade-in your old cards for a 50% discount on the purchase of a new Garmin BlueChart g3 or g3 Vision chart.

To take advantage of this service, you will need to contact your local Garmin office using the contact details provided below and provide the information requested. The Garmin customer support team will provide a return number (RMA) that you will need to place on the package of your returned traded card. Once the returned card is received by Garmin, a new BlueChart g3 or g3 Vision card will be shipped to you and your credit card will be charged 50% of the normal retail price for the new BlueChart.

Terms:

Trade-in discount can only be issued by contacting your local Garmin office – see contact information below.  You are responsible to check that the new Garmin BlueChart g3 or g3 Vision chart you want to purchase is compatible with your chartplotter device.  See the BlueChart g3 and g3 Vision compatibility chart at Garmin Marine Chart Feature Compatibility.

Eligible cards that can be traded in:

Garmin cards: Any BlueChart, LakeVü HD, LakeVü HD Ultra on micro/SD. This does not apply to BlueChart proprietary data cards.

Navionics cards: Navionics+, Navionics+ Regions, Navionics Updates, HotMaps Platinum, Platinum+, Gold, Silver and HotMaps Premium.

Cards from other manufacturers: C-MAP: BDS, Discover, Essential, 4D, 4D Local, 4D Wide, 4D MAX, 4D MAX+, MAX N, MAX N+, MAX-N Bathy, MAX NT and MAX NT+ and Reveal on SD/MSD; FishTec HD Fishing Charts, Fishing Hot Spots on SD, MSD and MMC; LakeMaster for Humminbird, LakeMaster ProMap for Lowrance and LakeMaster for Lowrance (newer versions); Lowrance Insight and Lowrance Insight HD on SD/MSD, Lowrance NauticPath on MMC; Magellan BlueNav XL3; TrakMaps for Garmin on SD/MSD including the demo cards, TrakMaps for Lowrance.

The traded chart must not be physically or electronically damaged; physical damage to memory card modules (broken, oxidized, etc.) due to misuse, abuse or water is not accepted. The card should not contain personal or end user files other than navigation data.

Garmin is not responsible for incomplete requests, loss in mail, postage due, or any consequential or incidental damages. Garmin reserves the right to rescind or change this service offer. Recipient is responsible for any applicable taxes, including custom fees – where applicable. Limit one trade-in discount per eligible traded card with a maximum of two trade-ins per customer per calendar year. All cards returned to Garmin will be verified; any found to be counterfeit will not be eligible for a rebate and destroyed. Requests from dealers, groups, clubs or organizations will not be honoured. Void where prohibited or otherwise restricted by law. Please allow up to 2 weeks to process your trade-in discount request.

This service is available to customers contacting Garmin before the 31^st December 2021. 

Privacy:

Our privacy policy can be found on the Garmin website and describes our processing of your personal data. The data gathered through this offer will be processed only for purposes of providing the trade-in service or to contact you with questions about or issues with your trade-in request. The legal ground for this processing is performance of a contract. For any ineligible cards which you direct us to retain, we will destroy them in accordance with our policies.
