File sizes for sonar recorded on a compatible Garmin chartplotter/sounder

Compatible Garmin sounder devices have the ability to record the sonar image for later playback on the HomePort program. These devices record the sonar data onto a microSD/SD card inserted either of the built-in card slots.

15 minutes of sonar recording will take up approximately 200MB of space of the inserted card. The sonar file size limit is 1024MB (1GB). Once the size limit has been met, the recording will stop and will need to be restarted.
