The ActiveCaptian application allows users to edit the chart settings to change or hide data displayed on the chart. Data such as depth shading, Land POIs (points of interest), Service points, waypoints, and others are selected or unselected based on user preference.  

To edit chart settings, open the ActiveCaptain app, then select Chart > Menu (the button with three horizontal lines) > Chart settings 

Chart Layers - sets how data on the chart is displayed.  

Waypoints - select what will be displayed (symbol, name, or comment)

Navaid Labels - select the style (abbreviated or full)

Navaid Type - NOAA - display symbol set for NOAA 

IALA - display symbol set for international 

Light Sectors - lighted beacons, on, off, or auto, settings for flashing on or set to off

General Settings - sets how the chart is displayed.

Orientation - North up or Head up

Details - slide bar least to most 

Chart size - slide bar smallest to largest

Show Speed / Heading - on or off toggle switch
