Tread Device Shutting Down or Rebooting while Plugged into a Vehicle
Your Garmin Automotive device should not shut down or reboot while plugged into a vehicle. There are four main resolutions to this issue.
- Make sure your device is plugged directly into your vehicle with its original Garmin power cable.
Do not use a splitter, USB, or third-party cable.
Ensure the 12 Volt Vehicle Power Cable is securely connected to the Locking Magnet assisted Mount.
A replacement 12 Volt Vehicle Power Cable can be purchased if necessary.
Remove any memory cards in the device.
Format the memory card if this resolves your issue.

Ensure the device software is up to date.

Make sure it is not too hot in the vehicle.
