Device Is Busy Error During Edge Sync With the Connect App

When pairing most Garmin Edge® cycling computers with the Garmin Connect™ app for iOS, you will be prompted to pair your device twice. This is normal and both Bluetooth® pairings are required for proper function.

If one of the pairings is removed, the device will need to be removed from the Garmin Connect app and paired again (see Removing and Adding a Fitness Device in the Garmin Connect App for instructions). Removing one of the pairings will typically result in an error message stating “Your device seems to be busy, and your sync request timed out. Try again later.” when you try to sync your Edge. The following image is an example of the error:
