Maximum Garmin Transducer Extension

Certain installations will require the use of a transducer extension cable. It is best practice to use the fewest number of extension cables to extend the transducer cable to a sounder. For a list of extension cables offered by Garmin, see Related Content below. 

Extension Cable Limitation

For most transducers, Garmin has tested and verified proper operation with up to three of the longest extension cables installed. For LiveScope transducers, the LVS12, LVS32, LVS34 and LVS62, the maximum number of extensions is two. Extending the transducer further may result in a loss of the sonar signal and result in sonar failures.
