Finding the Software Version of a Garmin Speak and Garmin Speak Plus

Important: The Garmin Speak App has been replaced by the Garmin Drive App. To continue using the Garmin Speak along with more enhanced benefits, please visit the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android) to download the Garmin Drive App.

It may be necessary to determine the current software version installed on the Garmin Speak or Garmin Speak Plus device without pairing it to the Garmin Drive app or plugging it into Garmin Express.

To do so, hold down both the  action and mute buttons for five seconds. The device will scroll through various software information one item at a time, including the FCC ID, software version, and Unit ID.

The device will automatically exit the About display once it has displayed all of its software information. Alternatively, to exit the About display, press the  action button.
