(2024) Service Advisory 2167 Rev C: Overspeed Protection

PRODUCTS AFFECTED:

Garmin GFC 600 AFCS installed in Textron Aviation (Beechcraft) C90 are affected.

ISSUE:

Overspeed Protection will not engage until 226 KIAS. This is above the published Vne of the C90.

ACTION:

Never exceed the manufacturer published airframe speed limits.

RESOLUTION:

As previously stated in Rev B of this Service Advisory, GMC 605 Software Version 2.85 (Garmin STC Service Bulletin 23099) does not fix this issue.

This will be fixed in a future software release.
