Using the Free One-Year Birdseye Satellite Imagery Subscription with Your Alpha 100 Bundle
The Alpha® 100 with TT™ 15 or TT™ 15 mini dog tracking bundles came with a free one-year of use of the Birdseye Satellite Imagery Subscription. BirdsEye imagery can be downloaded while the Alpha is connected to a PC or Mac home computer running Garmin's BaseCamp™ computer software. BaseCamp™ is used for trip planning, as well as creating and saving data, such as saved waypoints, tracks, and routes.
BaseCamp™ allows you to select areas to download satellite mapping. Once selected and downloaded into BaseCamp™, the images can be transferred to your Alpha or an optional microSD memory card you provide and install inside your Alpha. All Birdseye Satellite Subscription map selections, downloads, and transfer functions are built into BaseCamp™.
The free subscription is automatically enabled when you start selecting areas from within the BaseCamp™ program.

Downloading BirdsEye Imagery
- Plug your Alpha handheld into your computer via USB cable
- Download, Install, and Run the BaseCamp™ program
- Get the program here: BaseCamp™ Download Page
- In BaseCamp™, click Birdseye, then Download Birdseye Imagery
- The Birdseye wizard will guide you step by step through the rest of the process.
