"Additional Memory Recommended" Message During a Wi-Fi Update

When Starting a Wireless Update on a Wi-Fi-Enabled Device you may Receive the Following Message:

"Additional Memory Recommended

For the best results updating the device, an additional 16 GB of data storage is recommended.

Map and software files may be deleted when updating the device. The memory card stores map and software files during installation to avoid device errors due to missing files."

This message appears as a recommendation; it is not a requirement to add an additional memory card to update your device. Your device is preloaded with enough internal memory to download the full map update without the use of a microSD memory card. Maps do get larger in file size with each update.  In the future, a microSD card may be needed.

A checkmark may be placed by pressing the box next to "Do not show this message again".  This will stop the message from appearing again.
