Bounce Battery Life Assumptions
The battery life of your Garmin watch may be affected by how you use the watch. The information in the tables below is intended to outline the conditions used to determine the battery life specifications. Usage beyond what is listed below, or usage of features not listed, may result in reduced battery life. The information presented below is presented as a general guide for reference only on the Bounce™ Smartwatch.
The following usage assumptions were used to determine the estimated battery life for Bounce. Unless otherwise stated, all default software settings and configurations are assumed for the battery life specifications.
Incoming/Outgoing Messages per Day1 | 20 |
Voice messages per day | 2 |
10-minute GPS activity | 1 |
Display Brightness & Timeout | Default Setting |
Watch Face2 | Default |
Number of Gestures per day | Disabled by Default |
Number of LiveTrack events | 0 |
Battery Life3 | Up to 2 days |
The following suggestions could help improve the estimated battery life of Bounce:
Add your Home Wi-Fi Network through the Garmin Jr.™ app. If possible, set up Wi-Fi for all indoor locations where the Bounce device will operate for extended periods of time ( Garmin Bounce: Wi-fi Set Up and Troubleshooting).
Make sure the gesture setting is disabled in the display settings (Display Settings).
Avoid long durations of “display on” time.
Set up correct sleep and wake times through the Garmin Jr. app ( Setting Sleep and Wake Window Times in the Garmin Jr. App).
Make sure the Bounce device’s software is up-to-date ( Software Update Instructions for the Garmin Bounce).
1 To use the LTE features of this device, such as text and voice messaging, Assistance, and LiveTrack, an active subscription plan and LTE connectivity is required. See LTE coverage area at Garmin.com/BounceLTEcoverage. For safety and tracking feature requirements and limitations, see Garmin.com/BounceFeatureRequirements. For additional information concerning the LTE features of this device, see the owners manual.
2 The “default” watch face for Bounce is the watch face present on the device when it is taken out of the box. Bounce is designed to work with a variety of native watch faces as well as compatible watch faces installed via the Garmin Jr app. The usage of watch faces other than the default watch face may impact the battery life.
3 The battery life of the device when using LTE will be impacted by location and network conditions. If the device is used in an area of poor LTE coverage or low signal strength, the battery life of the device will be negatively impacted.
