Tempo Training Activity for My Garmin Golf Capable Watch
The Tempo Training activity helps you perform a more consistent swing. The watch measures and displays your backswing time and downswing time. The watch also displays your swing tempo. Swing tempo is the backswing time divided by the downswing time, expressed in a ratio. A 3 to 1 ratio, or 3.0, is the ideal swing tempo based on studies of professional golfers.
Swing Tempo or Tempo Training can be accessed in the Activities and Apps menu of your watch. See the owner's manual for how to start activities and rearrange the menu if needed.
Following Tones or Vibrations During Swing
To help with improving your tempo, your watch will make three tones or vibrations during your swing.
First Tone or Vibration: Start your backswing.
Second Tone or Vibration: Start your downswing.
Third Tone or Vibration: Contact the ball.
Improving your swing tempo can add consistency to your golf game.
