Manually Entering and Saving Coordinates as a Waypoint on an Oregon Series

Coordinates for a specific location can be entered manually and saved by creating a waypoint and editing the location field on Oregon® series handhelds.

Creating a Waypoint With Known Coordinates

Oregon 200 Handheld

  1. Navigate to the main menu.
  2. Touch Mark Waypoint.
  3. Touch Save and Edit.
  4. Touch Change Location.
  5. Use the highlighted arrows to select the character you would like to change.
  6. Use the number pad to select new numbers or use the arrows to select letters.
  7. Repeat steps 5 and 6 as necessary.
  8. Touch the green check mark.
  9. Touch the red X.

The coordinates will now be saved as a waypoint in the internal memory of the device.

Oregon 300 Handheld

  1. Navigate to the main menu.
  2. Touch Mark Waypoint.
  3. Touch Save and Edit.
  4. Touch Change Location.
  5. Use the highlighted arrows to select the character you would like to change.
  6. Use the number pad to select new numbers or use the arrows to select letters.
  7. Repeat steps 5 and 6 as necessary.
  8. Touch the green check mark.
  9. Touch the red X.

The coordinates will now be saved as a waypoint in the internal memory of the device.

Oregon 400 Series Handhelds

  1. Navigate to the main menu.
  2. Touch Mark Waypoint.
  3. Touch Save and Edit.
  4. Touch Change Location.
  5. Use the highlighted arrows to select the character you would like to change.
  6. Use the number pad to select new numbers or use the arrows to select letters.
  7. Repeat steps 5 and 6 as necessary.
  8. Touch the green check mark.
  9. Touch the red X.

Oregon 500 Series Handhelds

  1. Navigate to the main menu.
  2. Touch Mark Waypoint.
  3. Touch Save and Edit.
  4. Touch Change Location.

  8. Touch the green check mark.
  9. Touch the red X.

Oregon 600 Series Handhelds

  1. Press the User Key.
  2. From the Waypoint Marked screen, touch Location.
  3. Use the number pad and arrow keys to enter the desired coordinates.
  4. Touch the Check Mark to confirm the coordinates entered.
  5. Touch any other fields such as the name, icon, or note to edit them if desired.
  6. Touch the Save button.

The coordinates will now be saved as a waypoint in the internal memory of the device.

Oregon 700 Series Handhelds

  1. Press the Power button to open the main menu.
  2. Touch Mark Waypoint.
  3. From the Waypoint Marked screen, touch Location.
  4. Use the number pad and arrow keys to enter the desired coordinates.
  5. Touch the Check Mark to confirm the coordinates entered.
  6. Touch any other fields such as the name, icon, or note to edit them if desired.
  7. Touch the Save button.

The coordinates will now be saved as a waypoint in the internal memory of the device.
