Verify a nuMaps Lifetime Map subscription is active
When purchasing a nuMaps Lifetime subscription through Garmin Express, the subscription will automatically be activated to the device. The updated maps can be installed immediately on Garmin Express after the purchase process. Devices that are preloaded with Lifetime maps do not need to be activated.
If a nuMaps Lifetime subscription was purchased on a nuMaps Lifetime card, the subscription must be activated to a compatible device before it can be used.
To verify that a purchased nuMaps Lifetime subscription is active in a myGarmin account and associated to a Garmin device, check the device details in the account:
- Log in to the myGarmin account that was used to purchase or activate the subscription
- Click on the myMaps tab
- Click on Details next to the designated device
If the Lifetime subscription was activated properly, it will display under the Map Downloads section on this page.
If the subscription is not displaying on this page, retry the activation. If a Lifetime update card was purchased and not activated, go to the card activation page.
Once the activation process has been completed, the Lifetime subscription should now be visible in the Map Downloads section.
