BarkLimiter Settings on the Delta Sport XC and Delta Upland XC

The following are instructions for enabling the BarkLimiter™ mode on the Delta Sport™ XC and the Delta Upland™ XC remote training systems. Once enabled, you can adjust BarkLimiter correction settings for vibration, auto-rise, or a specific level. Once the BarkLimiter mode has been set, the handheld does not need to remain on for the BarkLimiter mode to continue to work. 

Enabling BarkLimiter Mode

1. Press and release the upper left key on the handheld
2. Select through the three possible modes; training only mode, BarkLimiter mode, or both at once
3. Choose the mode showing only a dog’s barking head for BarkLimiter only mode

NOTE: When the dogs barking head appears on the LCD display, the status LED on the dog collar flashes three times; the device enters BarkLimiter only mode. See Delta Dog Device Status LED Lights for more information. 

Adjusting the BarkLimiter Correction Settings

Once BarkLimiter is enabled, you can change the correction intensity level, or set it to vibrate or auto-rise by pressing the up or down arrow keys on the top right of the handheld. 

• Select a specific setting/number level to: U, A, or 1 through18 with the Up or Down arrow keys.
• Select the U to set for vibration.
• Select A to set for auto-rise.
• Select a number to set it at that level.

Using Auto-rise

• When set to auto-rise, the system starts correcting the dog at the lowest level intensity. The intensity level goes up automatically every four seconds as the dog continues to bark.
• Should the dog refrain from barking for a time, the intensity level will slowly decrease every 2 minutes, reaching the lowest level within 30 minutes.

Using BarkLimiter Mode and Training Mode Simultaneously

When both BarkLimiter mode is active and training mode is active, both the dog barking head icon is showing on the screen and well as the other training commands such as T, C, M or V. When the training mode is active you can make changes to the intensity level by pressing the up or down arrow keys. The intensity level changes only apply to the training mode level, not the BarkLimiter mode.

To adjust only the BarkLimiter intensity level while using the training features:

1. Turn off training mode, press and release the upper left key on the handheld until only the dog’s barking head icon is showing
2. Choose what level or setting you want for the BarkLimiter correction
3. Switch back to BarkLimiter mode and Training mode by making sure both the dog's barking head icon is showing as well as the training commands BarkLimiter settings will be retained
