DOCUMENTATION CONSIDERATIONS:

The current revision of the GTX 3X5 Series Pilot’s Guide (Garmin P/N 190-01499-00) Rev H is applicable. Pilot Guides are available at www.garmin.com/manuals.


PURPOSE:

GTX 35R/GTX 45R/GTX 3X5 Transponder Series Main Software Version 2.90 contains the following changes:

  • Improved the robustness of output label 352 (Control Maintenance Word) on the ARINC 429 Transponder Control Format 2 interface
  • Added a configuration setting to GTX 345(D)(R) and GTX 45R units to adjust or disable Fixed Wing Traffic Audio Alert Suppression. Fixed Wing Traffic Audio Alert Suppression is applicable to airplanes with radio altimeters or with TAWS HAT.
  • Improved MapMX latitude, longitude, and altitude serial data output

GTX 35R/GTX 45R/GTX 3X5 Transponder Series ADS-B Software Version 3.60:

  • Improved Bluetooth connection handling when pairing with an iOS device
  • Improved traffic aural alert processing to re-issue aural alerts that are dropped or timed out by interfacing devices
  • Improved TIS-B processing to reduce nuisance traffic alerts due to ownship shadowing
  • Added support for GNSS output from GPS-equipped units, on HSDB interfaces
  • Adjusted the threshold speed below which the bearing is excluded from aural traffic alerts in rotorcraft installations without valid heading data. The speed was reduced from 30 knots to 15 knots.
  • Added support for additional ADC and AHRS sensor input via HSDB interfaces
