Error Message "Failed Depth Sensor Do Not Dive" on My Descent Mk1

If you are receiving the message Depth sensor failed do not dive on your Descent™ Mk1 watch, do not dive with the watch until you have resolved the message.

Resolving the Warning Message


Checking Software Versions

  1. Press and hold MENU.
  2. Select Settings.
  3. Select About.
  4. Verify Software Version is 10.40 or higher.
  5. Scroll down 4 screens to Sensor Hub/SNS version and verify the version is 6.70 or higher.

Reset Surface Pressure if Updating Did Not Remove the Message

  1. Power OFF the watch by holding Power/Light.
  2. Hold Up and power the watch back ON by pressing Power/Light.
  3. Release Up when you see Reset surface pressure?
  4. Select Yes to set the current pressure as the surface pressure.

Depth will go to 0 and the message should no longer appear.
