Topographic Data is Not Displaying in XMap
The XMap® desktop software is delivered on multiple discs, one for the program itself and one for the topographic and street data. If you are not seeing topographic or street data in XMap, follow the instructions below.
Note: XMap Software has been discontinued. Support is now provided through documentation in the Support Center. XMap data format has not.
Install the XMap Topographic Data
If the map in XMap is not displaying topographic or street data, ensure the XMap Topographic data is installed; put the DVD for the XMap Topographic data into the DVD drive of your computer and follow the on-screen instructions. Adding Data to Base Data Locations
- Open XMap program.
- Click the Map Data tab.
- On the right-hand side of the tab click Data and then click Base Data or Data Locations.
The Base Data Locations dialog box opens listing each of the data sources on your
system. - If the XMap Topographic data is already displayed in the Base Data Locations window, skip to step 6. If the XMap Topographic data is not displayed in the Base Data Locations window, click Add.
- In the Browse for Folder dialog box select the hard drive location where you saved your data and click OK. The default location for the XMap Topographic data to be installed on a 32-bit operating system is:
C:\Program Files\DeLorme\XMap North America Topographic Data
The default location for the XMap Topographic data to be installed on a 64-bit operating system is:
C:\Program Files (x86)\DeLorme\XMap North America Topographic Data - Click the box next the XMap Topographic data to deactivate the data and then click the box again to reactivate the data.
- Click Done. The XMap Topographic data should be displayed in the XMap software.
