Improving Traffic Reception on an Automotive Device
Many automotive devices receive traffic information through a traffic receiver cable. Proper positioning of this cable is important for optimal traffic reception.
Proper Positioning is Demonstrated in the Video Below:
Review the Following Tips In Order to Receive Optimal Reception for your Traffic Receiver or Antenna Cable:
- Ensure the cable is not coiled, bundled, tucked away, or otherwise blocked from traffic signal.
- Make sure the traffic receiver or antenna is placed in an area where it can receive a clear view of the sky, preferably stretched out across the dash.
- Refrain from draping the cable over the top of the cigarette lighter adapter, as this inhibits the traffic reception.
If you have purchased and are using an external antenna, make sure to attach it to an elevated point on the windshield ~4-6" from the A-pillar (door frame.)
