Garmin Fleet Updater and Garmin Express Network Requirements

Both applications must be run on a network which meets the below requirements in order to update successfully:

  • A high-speed internet connection (No dial-up, mobile, or satellite connections)
  • A network rule to allow garmin.com subdomains. These applications communicate with several subdomains of garmin.com during the update process. Depending on the files being downloaded and the geographic location of the network, these subdomains will vary.
  • These applications will utilize port 80 for HTTP and port 443 for HTTPS requests

Garmin Fleet Updater and Garmin Express™ software should be able to update devices if these conditions are met. Wireless networks are supported, but a "hard-wired" Ethernet connection is recommended for the best results.
