Object Contains Invalid Values Error on Garmin Explore Website
If you are experiencing any of the following errors while trying to activate your inReach® satellite communication device, it could be due to incomplete or incorrectly filled fields or a browser cache issue:
- This object contains invalid values.
- The user object contains invalid values.
- The device object contains invalid values.
Checking for Incomplete/Incorrect Fields
Some examples of incomplete or incorrectly filled fields include:
- Entering the wrong IMEI number and/or authorization code at the start of activation process
- Selecting the wrong country at the start of activation process
- Selecting a drop down from a field marked as (Optional) or (Not Required) without completing additional fields below it
- Empty fields that are not marked as (Optional) or (Not Required)
- Entering an incomplete or invalid address, phone number, or email
- Entering duplicate information, such as when entering emergency contacts
Resolving Browser Cache Issues
If there are no incomplete or incorrectly filled fields, try clearing your browser cache or opening a private browsing window before attempting to activate the inReach again.
