G600/G500/G500H Systems with GDU 620 Software Version 6.00 or earlier.

DESCRIPTION

The HSI course pointer auto-slew feature does not automatically select the final approach course for certain approaches. (Refer to the appropriate Pilot’s Guide for a detailed description of the auto-slew feature.) For affected approaches, the HSI course pointer will remain at the previously selected VLOC course; the pilot must manually select the final approach course.

PILOT ACTION

Pilots should be aware of the condition noted above. Pilots must verify proper course selection each time the CDI source is changed.

RESOLUTION

This issue will be corrected in a future GDU 620 software version.
