Requirements to Use the Intercom Feature on a VHF 200, 300 or VHF 300 AIS

When connected with a GHS 10 or GHS 20, the VHF 200, VHF 300 and VHF 300 AIS have access to an Intercom feature. The Intercom feature allows for communication to occur in different areas of a vessel. For example, communication between the helm station and a below deck engine room, a saloon, or a stateroom.

An optional active or passive speaker is not required in order for the Intercom feature to work, only additional GHS 10 and GHS 20 handhelds are needed. A speaker can be connected if audio is needed in a different area from where the GHS 10 is installed. For more information regarding the Intercom feature, please reference the specific Owner's Manual.
