LiveTrack on the zumo 595

LiveTrack allows you to share your ride, in real-time, with friends and family through email.  To setup the LiveTrack feature, you will need a zumo 595 and a compatible Android or iOS smartphone with the Smartphone Link app installed.

Before starting, make sure the software on the device and the Smartphone Link software is up-to-date and are paired with one another. Software update and pairing instructions can be found in the related content section of this FAQ.

To start a LiveTrack session:

  1. Open Smartphone Link on the phone
  2. Touch LiveTrack
  3. Touch Session Name, and assign a name for the ride
    • This step is optional
  4. Add viewers
    • Email
      • Touch Invite Recipients to setup email invitations
  5. Touch Start LiveTrack

When you are done with your ride, touch Stop LiveTrack to end your tracking session.

If you choose the 'Extend LiveTrack' option after the session starts, your completed ride details will be available to viewers for 24 hours. If this option is not engaged, viewers will no longer be able to access the session as soon as it has ended.

Alternatively, you can start or stop a LiveTrack session directly from the zumo using the LiveTrack app or Map tool.

  • LiveTrack App
    1. Touch Apps on the Main menu of the zumo
    2. Touch LiveTrack
    3. Touch Start LiveTrack to begin a session
  • LiveTrack Map Tool
    1. Touch View Map on the main menu of the zumo
    2. Touch Tools (wrench icon)
    3. Touch LiveTrack
    4. Touch Start LiveTrack to begin a session

In order to use the LiveTrack app or Map Tool, the Smartphone Link on the phone must already be configured to share to an email recipient.
