Using the Sunrise and Sunset Glance on an Outdoor Watch

Most Garmin watches offer a sunrise and sunset widget or glance, which provides time information about dawn, sunrise, sunset, and dusk. Some Garmin watches also include enhanced sunrise and sunset information in the glance. This information includes a map showing the relative position of the sun to you, a graphical representation of how high in the sky the sun will rise, and further details about astronomical and nautical dawn and dusk. Within the glance, you can also view information for different dates, locations, and times of the day. Viewing the map within the glance will turn on GPS as the watch reaches out to find your position, and it may take a moment for it to locate you, depending on signal strength. Having a clear view of the sky can help with acquiring GPS quicker.
