- From the device's home screen, select Apps
- Select zūmo™ R1 Radar
- The radar screen will now display.

Using the zumo R1 Radar with the zumo XT2 or Tread 2
The zūmo™ R1 Radar Motorcycle Radar can be paired with your zūmo® XT2 GPS navigator or Tread® 2 GPS navigator. This allows the radar screen to be shown on the screen of your navigator.
NOTE: The zūmo™ Radar app is required to update the zūmo R1 Radar. Updates for the zūmo R1 Radar cannot be performed with the zūmo XT2 or Tread 2. See Installing the zumo Radar App for steps on installing and pairing the zūmo Radar app with the zūmo R1 Radar.

Viewing the Radar Screen
While the zūmo R1 Radar is paired to your navigator, the radar screen can be accessed from the device menu or the map screen.
- From the home screen, select View Map
- On the map screen, select the menu icon in the bottom right
- Select the Wrench icon
- Select the Plus button
- Select zūmo R1 Radar
- Select Save
The zumo Radar screen shortcut has been added to the map screen.
- From the home screen, select View Map
- On the map screen, select the zumo Radar icon if it is displayed.
- The radar screen will be displayed on the right side of the map.
- The radar screen can be expanded by touching anywhere on the radar screen.
- From the home screen, select View Map
- On the map screen, select the menu icon in the bottom right:
- Select zūmo™ R1 Radar
- The radar screen will be displayed on the right side of the map.
- The radar screen can be expanded by touching anywhere on the radar screen.
Changing Alert Settings
You can change alert settings on the zumo R1 Radar with your connected navigator.
- From the Radar Screen, select the Wrench icon
- Select the connected zumo Radar
- Select either Blind Spot Alerts or Rear Alerts
- The following screen for either option will allow you to enable or disable settings, with a preview picture showing how the lights and alerts will change.
- Choosing Rear Alerts again will allow you to change the alert sensitivity.
More Alerts - High sensitivity, receives all alerts.
Standard Alerts - Normal or medium sensitivity, receives the default amount of alerts.
Less Alerts - Low sensitivity, receives fewer alerts.
Off - Turns off all alerts.
