Aiming Options and Settings for Xero X1i

Multiple aiming options and settings are available to customize the Xero® X1i crossbow scope to suit your preferences and adapt to common shot scenarios.

Aiming Options for the Xero X1i Scope

Before using the following aiming options, calibration should be completed on the Xero X1i scope. For calibration steps, see Getting Started With the Xero X1i Crossbow Scope

Ranged Aim Points

Using ranged aim points allows you to range a target and use the generated aim point to take a shot.

  1. Press the Ranging Button to enter Hunt Mode
  2. Press and hold the Ranging Button to range a target
  3. Release the Ranging Button
    A ranged Aim Point will appear
  4. Take the shot
Fixed Aim Points

Using fixed aim points can be helpful if a shot opportunity comes quickly without enough time to range. Specific ranges for the fixed aim point stack can be customized using steps under How to Edit Aim Points below.

  1. Press the Ranging Button to enter Hunt Mode
  2. Press the Ranging button again to switch from Ranged Aim Points to Fixed Aim Points
    Note: The Ranging Button can be pressed at any time to switch back to take a range before taking a shot with fixed aim points
  3. Take the shot
Manual Ranged Aim Point

A manually-entered ranged aim point can be set from the Quick Menu when in Hunt mode.

  1. Press the Ranging Button to enter Hunt Mode
  2. Press and hold Xero Down Button or Xero Up Button to enter the Quick Menu
  3. Select MANUAL RANGE
  4. Use Xero Up Button and Xero Down Button to select the desired range
  5. Press OK
  6. Take the shot
Range and Aim Point Only Mode

The Xero X1i offers a simplified aiming screen for users who want only a range and aim points without other data on the display.

  1. From Main Menu, select Xero X1i Gear Icon
  2. Select PRO SETTINGS
  3. Select RANGE AND AIM POINT ONLY MODE to enable


How to Edit Bolt Profile Aim Points

  1. From Main Menu, select PROFILES
  2. Select AIM POINTS
  3. Choose an option:
    Edit an Existing Aim Point
    • Calibrated Aim Point
      • To Calibrate:
        1. Select CALIBRATE
        2. Follow on-screen prompts
      • To Delete
        1. Select DELETE
        2. Select DISMISS
    • Fixed Aim Point
      • To Change Color
        1. Select COLOR
        2. Select a color
      • To Delete
        1. Select DELETE
        2. Select DISMISS
    Add a New Aim Point
    1. Select Add Aim Point Xero X1
    2. Choose an option
      • Add a Calibrated Range:
        1. Select CALIBRATED RANGE
        2. Follow on-screen prompts
      • Add a Fixed Aim Point
        1. Select FIXED AIM POINT
        2. Enter RANGE
        3. Select a color
        4. Go back or repeat steps to add another aim point

How to Change Aim Point Shape on Xero X1i Scope

The aim point size or diameter on the Xero X1i scope can be adjusted by choosing a different aim point shape in Display Settings. 

  1. From Main Menu, select Xero X1i Gear Icon
  2. Select DISPLAY
  3. Scroll down to AIM POINT
  4. Press OK to choose an Aim Point shape
