Searching for an Address by the ZIP Code on an Automotive Device
The option to search by ZIP code for an address in the US will be displayed after touching Address in the Where To? menu.1
Requirements:
- Some devices require you to change the locale to another country before the postal code (ZIP code) will be an option. (See 'To Change the Device's Locale' steps below).
- To search for a ZIP or postal code, the device must be loaded with mapping that covers all or part of that specific ZIP/postal code.
- On some devices, you may first need to enter the House Number, Country, and/or County/State you're searching in prior to having the option to search for a ZIP/postal code.
- Earlier mapping versions allow you to search by Postal Code within Canada, provided that you have set the device to search in Canada or one of its provinces. Devices must be set as Searching Near a city in Canada to search by Postal Code. For further instructions, see Searching for an Address in a Different City or State on an Automotive Device.

For Outdoor Maps+ compatible Tread devices, a master reset will remove all downloaded Outdoor Maps+ content, even if it was downloaded to a memory card. To avoid this, remove the memory card before the reset to keep the data. See: Outdoor Maps Plus on a Compatible Tread Device
