Points of Interest or Categories Page Only Displays "Spell Name" on an Automotive Device

The device's mapping may be disabled if subcategories do not display on the device's Points of Interest or Categories page.

To Ensure the Maps are Enabled:

1. Touch Tools
   • Some devices skip this step
2. Touch Settings
   
3. Touch Map, Map & Vehicle, or Map Display
   
4. Touch the Map Info or myMaps button

If the box next to the map version is empty, touch it to add a checkmark and enable the maps. When you return to the Points of Interest or Categories page, additional subcategory options should be available for searching.

If this page is blank, or if checking the available maps does not resolve the issue, you may need to either update or reinstall the maps.

To Update your Device:

1. Go to Garmin Support Center
2. Enter your device name
3. Click on the Software tab on the left

To Reinstall the Map in Garmin Express:

Go to Reinstall or Change Map on an Automotive Device.
