  • View the battery life of the Di2 system using the Di2 Battery Data field.

  • View front and rear gear data.

  • Export ride data to third-party sites that analyze gear shift data.

  • Edge devices can be configured to control certain functions using the hood buttons embedded into some Dura-Ace Control Levers. For more details, see Related below.

What Are the Requirements To Connect a Garmin Device With a Di2 System?

  1. A compatible Garmin product which will list Shimano Di2 in the sensor list.

  2. Shimano's Wireless Unit (EW-WU111 , SM-EWW01, or EW-WU101) installed on the bike. These units transmit the signal that a Garmin device will find and connect to.

  3. Updated software on the Di2 system using Shimano's E-Tube Project application.


Enhanced Di2 System Setup and Information for Edge 530/830/1030/1030 Plus Devices

With the release of a November 2021 software update, users with compatible Edge models will have access to more Di2 system information that can be displayed on their device. For help with updating your software see: Installing the Latest Software On Your Fitness Device

Battery Status Improvement

This update provides the ability to see the status of a system that features more than one battery. You can also see this information as a data field on the device.

12-Speed Cassette Compatibility

This improvement now allows riders to view front and rear gear data for 12 speed cassettes.

How Will I Know When to Charge My Shimano Di2 Sensor?

With this update, we added 'Low' and 'Critical' battery prompts for Di2 alongside the icon changes (color and battery status). Both will notify you that it is time to charge the battery.
