Importance of Syncing inReach Devices after Plan Change

After adding or editing Contacts on your Explore account (explore.garmin.com) you will need to Sync the Explore account with the inReach SE or inReach Explorer device to ensure your information is up to date on the device. When you sync your devices with the Explore site, the information you entered online — like Contacts changes — will push to your devices. You must sync your device in order for the changes to take place. Sync also installs software updates to the inReach SE/Explorer, the inReach Mini has software updates installed with Garmin Express
