The Move! Bar Does Not Appear to be Working on my Garmin Watch
The move bar will begin to fill on a device after one hour of inactivity and continue to fill for each additional 15 minutes of inactivity*. If for some reason the device's move bar is not filling up while being inactive, it could be due to the following:
- The move bar is inactive one hour before and through your designated normal sleep times.
- The device could be reading an incorrect sleep time, and is inactive. e.g., 10am-6pm instead of 10pm-6am
To confirm or change designated sleep times, visit the Garmin Connect Web on a computer or the Garmin Connect App. Here are the steps to verify sleep times:
Garmin Connect App:
- Open the Garmin Connect App on your mobile device
- Open the app menu:
- Android: Touch
(upper left hand corner)
- iOS: Touch More (lower right hand corner)
- Android: Touch
- Select Garmin Devices
- Select the Device
- Select User Settings
- Confirm your Bed Time and Wake Time
- Back out of Settings and allow your device to sync
Once the activity tracker is synced it should now work as intended.
Garmin Connect Web:
- Log into your Garmin Connect account
- Click
- Select Devices
- Select the device
- Select User Settings
- Confirm your normal sleep time under Personal Information
Any changes made through the Connect website will require a sync of the device, with the computer, using Garmin Express.
*NOTE: The Forerunner 15 does not have a move bar and will simply display the word "Move!" after 1 hour of inactivity along with an audible beep.
