Syncing Amazon Music to a D2 Air or Venu Series Watch
The information in this FAQ applies to music compatible D2™ Air and Venu® watches. See below for device compatibility. If your device is not listed below see Loading Music to a Garmin Watch.
Requirements
The following are requirements to use the Connect IQ™ app for Amazon Music on your watch:
Watch must be paired to your smartphone through the Garmin Connect™ app.
Watch must be set up to connect to a Wi-Fi network. For help, see - Setting Up Wi-Fi on a Watch or Edge Cycling Computer.
An Amazon Prime or Amazon Music Unlimited account is required. For help, see - What Are the Differences Between the Amazon Music Subscriptions?
You must be the Amazon Prime primary account holder. A family member sharing the benefit of Amazon Prime Music will not work.
If you have never used the GPS on your watch, or if the battery has been completely discharged recently, you may be prompted to enable GPS after accessing the Amazon Music app. GPS can be enabled by choosing an outdoor activity. For details refer to your owner's manual.

I Meet the Requirements. What's Next?
The steps listed below need to be completed when first setting up the Amazon Music app with your watch. Once complete, you will only need to follow the last step when you want to load additional content to your watch. Select each section to expand and view instructions on completing each step:
Select the following link to download the app: Amazon Music Connect IQ app.
Select the
button.If prompted, sign in to your Garmin® account.
Select your device to download the app.
Acknowledge any app permission requests.
The message should indicate that the app will be installed during the next sync. If this does not occur automatically, below are options to sync your device:
To sync via Bluetooth®: Be in range of your paired smartphone, then press and hold the top right button to access the Controls Menu. Select
to sync.To sync via Wi-Fi®: Be in range of your Wi-Fi network, then press and hold the top right button to access the Controls Menu. Select
to sync.To sync using Garmin Express™ software: Connect the device using supplied power/data cable to a computer. Open Garmin Express. A sync will automatically occur once the device is detected.
Once the app is installed, you will be prompted on the watch to continue the setup process.
Press and hold the bottom button.
Select
or Settings.Select Music.
Select Music Providers.
Select Amazon Music.
The screen should prompt you to visit https://amazon.com/code on a mobile device or personal computer.
The code provided on the watch will tie it to your Amazon account. Once completed allow up to a few minutes for the watch to proceed to the main menu.
You are ready to move to Step 3.
NOTE: Your watch must be able to connect to your Wi-Fi® network to download content from Amazon Music. For help see Setting Up Wi-Fi on a Watch or Edge Cycling Computer.
Press and hold the bottom button.
Select
or Settings.Select Music.
Select Music Providers.
Select Amazon Music.
Select Browse.
Select a category then choose the content you want to sync to your watch.
The watch will attempt to connect to your Wi-Fi network.
We recommend plugging the watch into a charger near the Wi-Fi router for the best results.
After you have added content to your watch, any changes you make to your playlist(s) will sync over automatically when your watch is charging and in the range of a saved Wi-Fi network.
You can also manually initiate a sync to update playlists and report all songs played to Amazon Music by following these steps:
Press and hold the bottom button.
Select
or Settings.Select Music.
Select Music Providers.
Select Amazon Music.
Select Sync.
The watch will attempt to connect to your Wi-Fi network.
We recommend plugging the watch into a charger near the Wi-Fi router for the best results.
