Clearing up Noise While Using a LiveScope™ System

For noise mitigation while using LiveScope™ live scanning sonar, the default settings should be adequate in most situations and settings. However, there's two settings that can be adjusted below:

  • The Noise Reject setting being set to medium should get rid of most of the noise, reduce shadows generated from strong returns and not affect things that aren't noise.

  • The TVG (Time Variable Gain) setting can be used as well if the bright transmit beams (sunburst effect) are too distracting.
