Garmin and Suzuki Gauges

Suzuki has recently released a software update for their SMG4 Gauges that opens up communication over NMEA 2000 to Garmin MFD's. If the Suzuki engine supports the PGN's listed below then it should allow engine data to the MFD. Below is a partial list of NMEA 2000 PGN's. For the Garmin unit specific NMEA 2000 PGN list, see the unit's installation manual. For specific descriptions of NMEA 2000 PGN's not listed below, go to the NMEA 2000 PGN Search Page, here. Some third-party manufacturers list devices as NMEA 2000 compatible or NMEA 2000 compliant which is not the same as NMEA 2000 Certified and may not be fully compatible with NMEA Certified devices such as Garmin GPSMAP units.

Suzuki has released a gateway that does not require any Suzuki gauges to be installed. The part number for this gateway is 34923-96L13.
