Output Voltage of Pro Control 2 Receiver
The output voltage from the Pro Control® 2 Receiver is a regulated 6V that can drive up to 3 amps. The unit uses a single Li-Ion 3.7V battery, which will range from 3.4V to 4.2V depending on the charge level, that is increased to 6V with a boost regulator. The system is only designed for 6V servos and up to 2 ohm solenoids and will not work properly with 12V motors.
Some users may attempt to modify receivers to drive high powered solenoids by using a higher voltage battery but, due to the way the output voltage is regulated in the Pro Control 2 Receiver, this cannot be done and will likely cause irreversible damage if attempted.
