Will Swim Profiles Track Distance in an Endless Pool?

Garmin® watches that support swim activity recording will not work in stationary pools such as infinity, endless, or swim spa pools. This is also the case for tethered (leash) swimming. Algorithms in the watch software rely on detecting stop and go turns at the wall to count lengths and measure distance. Disabling GPS while using the Open Water Swim activity profile may result in distance inaccuracies as well.
