Vortex Smart Trainer LED Lights and Error Codes

The Vortex Smart trainer comes with one LED light located on the side of the trainer next to the power receptacle. Outlined below in this FAQ is a break down of the combination of LED lights and error codes that can display on the trainer.

LED Light Meanings

Below is a combination of possible LED lights you may see on your trainer along with their meanings. 

  • Green Flashing: Normal operation.

  • Solid Green:  Unit is malfunctioning. 

  • Amber/Orange: Unit is in software update mode.

  • Single Red/Green Flash: Use the Tacx Training app to try and reinstall the software update. 

  • Red Solid:  Unit is malfunctioning.

  • Red Flashing: Unit is malfunctioning. 

  • No LED light:  Check the power cord to ensure it is fully seated into the trainer. Try a different power source.


Error Codes

If you are experiencing any kind of issue using the trainer, use the Tacx Training app on your phone or tablet to determine if there are any error codes. You can find the error codes in the Support tool in the Tacx Training app.
